Lots of modern teachers of fighting arts understand that long-range fighting (such as boxing) isn’t very effective against someone with knowlege in grappling.
That’s why clinch fighting moves like elbow strikes are so important - they’re in the middle between boxing and grappling, sports wrestling, or dirty boxing.
But for the most part what I’ve come to realize from this article is that I need some more practice. Thanks.
